Link is a magazine about the connection between new technology and modern culture with an audience of young adults who have an interest in technology and design.
I created a tone board as a reference for what Link should feel like, designed a logo, researched typefaces, and laid out grid structures as the first steps of the design process. I tested legibility of typefaces and their sizes on paper, iPads, and iPhones. I conducted user testing to determine which typographic standards worked best for each platform. I also added interactivity within the iPad and iPhone versions of the magazine.
The final print, iPad, and iPhone versions of Link magazine express its identity well, and with the standards I developed, show other designers how to layout articles and set up future issues of Link.
